Yoga Reaches Out – Bay Area Yogathon – sponsored by Divine Home Care
March 18, 2016
On Sunday, March 6, 2016, it was a cloudy, blustery day on the San Francisco Bay. Views of the city were in front of us and the Bay lay between us and San Francisco. However, we weren’t there for what was happening outside, were there for the magic inside. Dozens of yogis ventured to the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond to lay our mats out and meditate, sweat and chant for a cause. We were all there to help those who can’t help themselves and are in need of the help of the fine organization called The Lazarex Cancer Foundation.
Divine Home Care was one of the sponsors of the Yoga Reaches Out Bay Area Yogathon 2016. This was an amazing event that brought the community together to create “seva” (selfless service). The fundraising efforts go to support the Lazarex Foundation which assists in improving the outcome of cancer care, giving hope, dignity and life to end stage cancer patients and the medically under served by providing assistance with costs for FDA clinical trial participation, identification of clinical trial options, community outreach and education.
Divine Home Care’s website www.divinehomecareca.com provides educational information about cancer and the option of receiving care at home.
Divine Home Care had several people attend this inspiring event. We got on the mat with over 100 other attendees doing 4 1/2 hours of yoga together with one thought in mind, helping those that are suffering from the ravages of cancer and knowing that we are making a difference by those who benefit from the Lazarex Foundation.
Thank you to the Divine Team that got on their mats and did the work and thank you to Dana Dornsife of the Lazarex Cancer Foundation and the team of Yoga Reaches Out.
